Tamil Kuriyeedu Charts (also known as Tamil Matra Charts) are essential Montessori language materials designed to help children master the phonetic complexities of the Tamil script. These charts provide a visual and systematic guide for combining consonants with vowel signs (matras) to form syllables. 
 
The Tamil Kuriyeedu Chart set typically consists of four large wooden, laminated boards. Each chart illustrates how the 18 consonants (Mei Ezhuthukkal) transform when paired with the 12 vowels (Uyir Ezhuthukkal) and their specific  marks (Kuriyeedu).
